Ladies, have you heard of the Blue Hats?
Waltraud Reiner has been working on the * Blue Hat Project and holds millinery classes, many of them in Melbourne.
Have a look at the page on Fascinators for example. The photo is of a fascinator created from Waltraud’s instructions.
This is something we could spend an afternoon a week for a few weeks doing in someone’s house. (With a small glass of sherry and some gherkins on toothpicks to ease us through the experience).
If all goes well we will have new red hats ready for the Spring Racing Carnival!
I will investigate the costs etc, whether we attend a hat-making class or buy the materials and an instructional DVD. How do you feel about making your own hat? We could all go together.
