Women over age 50 are known as “Red Hatters” while those under 50 are called “Pink Hatters.”

Junior postulates are welcome if they will agree to wear pink hats and lavender clothing, exchanging them for red and purple only after having THE birthday. We like to refer to this ceremony as a RED-uation!

The spirit of the Red Hats forbids that we make rules per se, but we strongly suggest that you not wear the full red and purple until you are fifty. Younger members are invited to wear all types of pink hats and all shades of lavender clothing
